Directed Group Study

Peer Leadership and Mentoring in the Classroom

Course Catalog Description

Group discussion, research, and reporting on selected topics. Student initiation in choice of subjects is solicited and welcomed.

Class Description

Student are trained to be teaching assistants for Transfer, Re-entry, and Student Parent Center and learning difference success strategies courses. Concurrently, students serve as student co-facilitators in transition and learning differences courses throughout this training that consists in the study of several personality inventories and accompanying theories: Strength Deployment Inventory, Privilege and Disadvantage Inventory, Jung Typology Test, Least Preferred Coworker Assessment, Leader Behavior Analysis II
