Course Catalog Description
Participation in technical theater practice associated with department theater and dance productions to include workshop activities (fabrication, treatment, and installation) in one or more of: costumes, hair, make-up, scenery, properties, lighting, video, and sound for live performance.

Students who enroll in Lab 1 OR Lab 2 - Scenery Labs, will gain hands-on experience in the Scenic Department. Scenery lab students will be able to identify common hazards which exist within the shop and the theater, with suggestions as to how to mitigate the hazard based on common best practices. Th..

Students who enroll in Lab 1 OR Lab 2 - Scenery Labs, will gain hands-on experience in the Scenic Department. Scenery lab students will be able to identify common hazards which exist within the shop and the theater, with suggestions as to how to mitigate the hazard based on common best practices. They will become familiar with tools used in the scenery shops and demonstrate a proficiency in at least five different tools. Students will understand basic concepts about scenery construction and the build process by assisting with scenic build, load-in and strike.
