Course Catalog Description
Participation in technical theater practice associated with department theater and dance productions to include workshop activities (fabrication, treatment, and installation) in one or more of: costumes, hair, make-up, scenery, properties, lighting, video, and sound for live performance.

Students who enroll in Lab 3 OR Lab 4 - Lighting Labs, will gain hands-on experience in the Lighting Department. Students who enroll in Lab 3 OR Lab 4 - Lighting Labs, will gain hands-on experience in the Lighting Department. Lighting lab students will gain an understanding of electrical and fall safety, be able to identify tools and equipment related to lighting and learn lighting terminology. They will gain basic electrical experience including wiring and testing. Students will learn to participate in the process of hanging, focusing and circuiting lighting for theatrical productions becoming familiar with lighting instruments and paperwork.
