Course Catalog Description

This course explores the intersection of language, business practices, and human rights, examining how linguistic choices and discourse shape corporate responsibility, ethical decision-making, and human rights advocacy. Students critically discuss how language influences organizational policies, impacts stakeholder communication, and shapes public perception of social responsibility in both global and local contexts. This course is partially intended for non-native English speakers, but all students are welcome.
