Course Catalog Description
This course focuses on preparing students for actively and critically engaging with readings reflective of texts encountered in general education courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences. Students practice a variety of pre-reading, during-reading, and post-reading strategies that serve to facilitate the reading process when engaging with challenging texts. Students will develop techniques and methods for textual analysis and develop critical perspectives on a variety of texts from multiple disciplines.
