Course Catalog Description
Survey of grammar, graded exercises, and readings drawn from Indonesian texts, leading to a mastery of basic language patterns, essential vocabulary, and to achievement of basic reading, writing, and conversational competence. Emphasis on developing communicative skills.
Class Description
This is the second semester of introductory level of Indonesian. It is the continuation of Indonesian 1A. Students are expected to be able to satisfy routine social verbal and written demands and be able to handle routine work-related interactions that are limited in scope. Students are also expected to be more confident in casual and everyday conversations about current events, family, future plans, stating emotional and intellectual attitudes, and work.
