Course Catalog Description
This series covers current topics of research interest in controls. The course content may vary semester to semester. Check with the department for current term topics.
Class Description
The objective of this course is to explore current research themes in multi-agent interactions,
mostly focused on modeling and control complexities inherent in these systems. In the initial
course segment, we will consider cooperative multi-agent systems, covering topics like multi-
agent consensus, formation control, coverage control, and sensor deployment. Transitioning
into the latter part of the course, our focus will shift to noncooperative interactions, using tools
from dynamic game theory. This phase will cover the significance of game-theoretic concepts
along with their limitations. We will cover three interconnected themes: (1) static games and
complementarity programming, (2) dynamic game theory, and (3) specialized subjects in game
theory and multi-agent reinforcement learning with applications in robotics.
