Course Catalog Description

Written proposal must be approved by a faculty sponsor, who will serve as Instructor of Record. Seminars for the group study of selected topics, which will vary from semester to semester. Topics may be initiated by students.

Class Description

This course is designed to help transfer students smoothly transition into their CDSS major. Students will learn how to navigate Berkeley's academic and co-curricular landscape and build strategies for achieving their academic and career goals. This course will encourage formation of study groups and provide consistent access to advising. Through a combination of interactive lectures, guest speakers, and peer guidance, students will come away with practical strategies for success as a CDSS undergraduate.
