Group study of a topic not included in the regular department curriculum. Topics may be initiated by students under the sponsorship and direction of a member of the Spanish and Portuguese department's faculty.

La Lengua Encantada es un taller para inventar formas de escuchar y escribir a partir del encuentro con otrxs. ¿Cómo escuchamos? ¿A quién escuchamos? ¿Qué hacemos con lo que escuchamos? ¿Pueden las herramientas del arte, los experimentos con el lenguaje y nuestros sueños políticos retroalimentarse? A través de ejercicios prácticos y lecturas, desmenuzaremos nuestras intuiciones, intenciones y contradicciones, y a partir de ellas crearemos prácticas para escribir voces, para armar situaciones íntimas y acontecimientos públicos, para pensar estrategias de reciprocidad entre diferentes, para tratar de transformar un lugar. This course will be taught in Spanish and student work can be submitted in Spanish or English.
