Course Catalog Description

Topics include electronic community; the changing nature of work; technological risks; the information economy; intellectual property; privacy; artificial intelligence and the sense of self; pornography and censorship; professional ethics. Students will lead discussions on additional topics.

* This is a 'dual lecture' class. The in-person lecture will meet in Bechtel SIBLEY Auditorium during the same time as the remote lecture.

* Attendance for the in-person lecture will be first-come, first-seated and those with DSP accommodations for in-person instruction.

* Once the (adjusted) room capacity is met, all other students will be directed to watch the remote lecture.

* Time conflicts WILL be allowed, but attendance (either in-person or online) for 195 is mandatory. No webcasts will be provided.
