Sections 225 and 226 are designed for students who are especially interested in field biology. These sections meet on Tuesdays 2-6 PM and in addition have a special section for field-related activities Thursdays 3-5 PM. Students in these sections complete a field research project in addition to the regular weekly lab exercises. Students who complete the field research component successfully receive two units of Integrative Biology 95 credit.

Admittance to the field section labs is only by instructor approval. Students must first be registered in the Biology 1B lecture and a regular lab section and then request a field section application. For details, go to ib.berkeley.edu/courses/bio1b/field/fs.htm.
