Class Description
This seminar will explore keywords that are germane to the study of performance through the lens of racial difference, paying particular attention to the instance of blackness. By reading recent work from leading figures in the field, we will work to gain deeper understanding both the centrality of race to the theorization of performance and the centrality of performance to the theorization of race.
