Class Description
Led by CKS Faculty Chair Jinsoo An, the Graduate Seminar in Korean Studies serves as a central meeting point for UC Berkeley graduate students researching Korea-related topics. It is an evolving intellectual experience, composed primarily by and for students who are using “Korea” as material to think about broader questions within their particular areas of study. Students are drawn from a wide range of disciplines, with varying foundations guiding their specific research values and interests within the overall umbrella of Korean Studies. Students will have the opportunity to workshop papers with their peers and engage with visiting speakers from the CKS Colloquium Series who will discuss their own works in progress and offer professionalization advice.
