Course Catalog Description
Group study of selected topics in electrical engineering, usually relating to new developments.
Class Description
Introduction to Startup Life is an 11-week long introductory course designed for students interested in the startup industry looking to get a ťrst-hand look into life at a startup company. The ťrst few weeks of the course are lecture-based and will dive into a variety of aspects of startup life, including the beneťts of working at a startup, different kinds of startups and their components, and startup culture. The second half of the course will be focused on group work. Students will execute and present a unique plan for
improving the technical development, marketing methods, and customer outreach of their own simulated startup to a panel of investors. Overall, this course will provide students with an engaging and in-depth look into the startup industry and provide valuable experience for future job opportunities. Students will have extensive knowledge of resources in today’s startup industry and what it takes to access them. It is expected that students are passionate, open-minded, and excited about exploring the topics at hand.
