Catalog Course Description

This lower-division lecture course introduces students to the study of history in multiple periods and regions. It will typically be co-taught by faculty members with different geographical and chronological expertise and will center around a particular theme, such as cities, food cultures, or war and society. No prior course-work in the history of any particular part of the world will be expected.

Fall Term

3 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 7 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 2 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week.

Summer Term

6 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 13.5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 3 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week.

Summer Term

7.5 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 18.5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 4 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week.

Spring Term

3 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 7 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 2 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week.
