General Biology
Catalog Course Description
General introduction to cell structure and function, molecular and organism genetics, animal development, form and function. Intended for students majoring in the biological sciences, but open to all qualified students. Students must take both Biology 1A and 1B to complete the sequence. Neither is a prerequisite to the other. Sponsored by Molecular and Cell Biology.
Fall Term
1 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 3 hours of Instructional experiences requiring special laboratory equipment and facilities per week and 3 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week.
Summer Term
6 hours of Instructional experiences requiring special laboratory equipment and facilities per week and 2 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 8.5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 6 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week.
Spring Term
