Course Catalog Description
Grammar review, reading, and written composition.
Class Description
Intermediate Italian (IS 3) is conducted entirely in Italian.
Students will review and expand the grammar structures learned in the previous year. They will continue to build on the skills acquired in Italian 2, striving for a higher level of sophistication and fluency in writing, reading, listening and speaking. During the semester, students will be exposed to more examples of Italian culture through authentic materials such as short stories, poems, newspaper articles, films, and so on.
Conducted in Italian.
Course Requirements: Three hours per week. Weekly quizzes, midterm, oral exam, written compositions, final project, and a final exam. Regular attendance is required.
