A survey of economics designed to give an overview of the field.

1) the course will be taught in a hybrid format with synchronous, remote lectures and discussion sections, and in-person exams.

2) Exams: there will be one midterm and one final exam in our course. Each exam will be conducted
physically, in person at UC Berkeley Campus, at a specified time. Exams cannot be taken online and cannot be taken at an
alternative time. (Tentative: 2pm on Friday July 19th and 2pm on Friday August 9th for the two exams)
3) Main class meetings: class meetings will be conducted on Zoom and recorded. You are welcome
and encouraged to attend synchronously if you are able. If you cannot attend synchronously, you
will be able to review recordings of the class meetings at a time that is convenient for you.
4) Discussion sections: discussion sections will be conducted on Zoom but not recorded, due to the
nature of the work we do in section. Sections will be scheduled at a variety of times and you are
encouraged to register for a section that fits your schedule to attend synchronously. If you are
unable to attend any of the scheduled sections, each week one GSI will record an alternative
presentation of material for you to review asynchronously.
