Course Catalog Description
In the advanced experimentation lab students complete four of 20+ advanced experiments. These include many experiments in atomic, nuclear, particle physics, biophysics, and solid-state physics, among others.

Physics 111B lab hours are M 12-4 p.m. and TWTF 1-5 p.m. When conducting some experiments, students may need up to five consecutive days where they are free to be in the lab for the majority of the four hours it is open. Physics 111B lab hours are M 12-4 p.m. and TWTF 1-5 p.m. When conducting some experiments, students may need up to five consecutive days where they are free to be in the lab for the majority of the four hours it is open. See lab staff for more information or questions. If there are no open spots in this class, please contact Kathleen Cooney (kathleen.cooney@berkeley.edu). She will place you on an internal waitlist and will enroll S24 grads one month after Phase I enrollment. If there are seats remaining for other physics majors, they will be notified by a week before the semester. Priority will be given to students who need this course to graduate on time in Spring 2024.
