Class Description
Welcome to Exercise is Medicine On Campus (EIM-OC), a collaborative initiative uniting
University Health, Health and Wellness, the School of Public Health, and Physical
Education. Our mission is to make the benefits of physical activity an integral part of
your undergraduate life at UC Berkeley, enhancing both your physical and mental
well-being.
At EIM-OC, we go beyond the conventional notion of exercise. We consider physical
activity as a fundamental indicator of your health, and our aim is to empower you to
unlock its potential. But it's not just about solitary workouts; it's about building a
community that embraces wellness.
Whether you're a student navigating the academic journey, a faculty member shaping
the future, or a staff member providing essential support, we invite you to participate in
our mission to cultivate a culture of well-being at Cal.
In this EIM-OC DeCal course, designed specifically for undergraduates, we'll delve into
the intricate relationship between exercise, health, academic achievement, and
personal development. Expect a hands-on, practical learning experience that will enrich
your understanding of exercise as a way of life.
Prepare for a transformative journey where we redefine exercise and wellness for the
undergraduate community. Welcome to EIM-OC – where we make exercise an essential
part of your college experience.
