Class Description
Note: This course is taught in English.
This course explores the power of language in shaping and reflecting society and ideology across cultures. We will examine how meanings are constructed and manipulated through language, how language can influence power dynamics and social hierarchies, and how meanings and connotations of words and phrases can vary across cultures and contexts.
