Course Catalog Description
A systematic and critical approach to evaluating and designing public policies. Combines theory and application to particular cases and problems. Diverse policy topics, including environmental, health, education, communications, safety, and arts policy issues, among others.

- Majority of the seats are reserved to students declared in Public Policy minor. For the system to recognize you as a Public Policy minor, the minor should be displayed on your CalCentral.
- Enrollment is processed automatically until the 3rd week of instruction. Per instructors' request, the class might be closed for further enrollment earlier.
- During the 4th and 5th week of instruction, the waitlist will be processed manually by the department, with the priority going to students minoring in Public Policy.
- GSPP does not override time conflict.
For courses with discussion sections:
- A space must be available in both the lecture and the discussion section to be officially enrolled.
- Students are recommended to add themselves to the waitlist if they are unable to find an open seat.
- Enrolled students can switch their section using CalCentral.**Note: Do not drop yourself to switch your discussion section.
