Course Catalog Description
This course offers the opportunity to understand the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship (BME) in an intensive format. The BME curriculum conveys the latest approaches for training global technology entrepreneurs. This method leverages insights on strategy, tactics, culture, and psychology with an accompanying entrepreneurial infrastructure. The curriculum is structured to provide an optimal global entrepreneurship experience from real life experiences.
Class Description
The 4-½ day Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship (BMoE) bootcamp course is an immersive learning experience for new venture creation. Participants will learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and develop a startup idea and pitch to investors on the last day of class. During the program, participants will attend sessions that weave together lectures, interactive game-based exercises, receive one-on-one mentoring from SCET faculty and industry, and engage in project based teamwork. The Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship for teaching entrepreneurship leverages insights on strategy, tactics, culture, and psychology with an accompanying entrepreneurial infrastructure. The curriculum is structured to provide an optimal global entrepreneurship experience from real life experiences and there are over 20 industry speakers and experts who come into the class to speak and mentor.
The BMoE Bootcamp course is ideal for any student interested in learning about entrepreneurship and also students working on an existing startup idea. All majors are welcome as team diversity leads to more startup success.
