Course Catalog Description

This course explores money, financial institutions, markets, central banking, and the interactions between these topics. The aim of the course is to help students answer important questions like: what is money? What are banks? What are central banks and monetary policy? What are interest rates? What is crypto currency? What determines the price of goods and services? What the causes and consequences of financial crises?
