Course Catalog Description

Study and critical analysis of topics, research, and texts pertinent to environmental science, policy, and management. Different topics will be available each semester reflecting faculty and student interest.

Class Description

This graduate level seminar and academic/professional development opportunity will build on “ESPM 290: Critical Engagements in Environmental Anti-Racism.” Participants will have the opportunity to dive deeper into anti-racist praxis to both grow our community’s research practices and further action-based projects to create change in our departments. These projects may either build off of pre-existing projects, or students may propose new projects. Specific topics will be selected by course participants. The sessions will be workshop-based and provide a learning-by-doing space through discussions, group projects, and peer instruction.

Class Notes

Enrollment priority will be given to students, faculty, staff, and postdocs who have already completed “ESPM 290: Critical Engagements in Environmental Anti-Racism.”
