Course Catalog Description
This course has two primary goals: (1) to provide a basic introduction to the study of sleep and an overview of sleep measurement, regulation, ontogeny, phylogeny, physiology, and psychology; and (2) to provide a basic introduction to sleep disorders including their classification, cause, and treatment.

The class lecture will be remote and synchronous. The discussion sections will be in-person and synchronous except for one that will be remote and synchronous that is reserved for students unable to make it to campus for the fall semester due to health and/or visa issues.

Psych and CogSci students will be prioritized. Enrollment in the remote discussion section requires department approval along with an inability to return to campus. Credit Restrictions
Students will receive no credit for Psychology 133 after taking Psychology N133. A failing grade in Psychology N133 may be removed by taking Psychology 133.
