Course Catalog Description
Introduction to electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic waves, optics, and modern physics. The course presents concepts and methodologies for understanding physical phenomena, and is particularly useful preparation for upper division study in biology and architecture.

Discussion and Lab (D/L) sections begin on the first day of instruction. You must attend your D/L sections during the first and second week, or you may be dropped. Switching sections is not allowed. Physics 8B midterms will be held for 2 hours between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. on March 4, 2021 and between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. on April 15, 2021, for LEC_002. Plan accordingly. Do not schedule any conflicts.
