Class Description
Dance the Bay is offering a laboratory-style Decal class for individuals interested in teaching dance or wanting to explore their interests in dance pedagogy/teaching. This course will include both theoretical and practical components. We will study dance education methodologies and child development through a combination of guest lectures, readings, facilitated discussion, and application. We will apply and explore dance education in the "real world", by attending and critically examining dance classes, teaching dance workshops, and discussing our experiences in the classroom. Due to the current situation, the Decal will be offered completely online, and the dance classes students will teach will also be conducted online.
