Class Description
As Artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more powerful, so do the stakes. From shaping business strategy to influencing social systems, AI is not just a technical tool—it’s a leadership challenge and strategic opportunity. The objective of the course is to train aspiring leaders to understand and implement strategies for responsible AI innovation and management. AI systems, especially those powered by machine learning, are rapidly being adopted across industries and business functions. Recent breakthroughs—like generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT—have accelerated both innovation and public attention. While AI unlocks immense potential, it also presents serious risks, including bias and discrimination, data privacy violations, misinformation, and more. As AI continues to scale globally, with growing profit potential and societal impact, leaders must be prepared to manage it ethically and equitably.
This course blends the latest research with practical skills in responsible AI development and governance, incorporating a global lens. While it is relevant for all students engaging with AI, it will be especially valuable for those pursuing careers in technology, entrepreneurship, or roles that intersect with digital innovation. Through a mix of lectures, case studies, hands-on projects, and guest talks from top voices in industry and academia, students will gain the insight and skills to lead responsibly in a world where AI is an increasingly central focus of business and societal transformation.
