Selected legal rules, principles, and institutions treated from a sociological perspective. Influence of culture and social organization on law; role of law in social change; social aspects of the administration of justice; social knowledge and the law.

Fall Term

7.5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 1.5 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 3 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week.

Summer Term

17 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 5.5 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week.
