Catalog Course Description

<Consult the Mathematics department for details.> This sequence is intended for majors in the life and social sciences. Inequalities, absolute value, graphs of simple functions, the derivative, maxima and minima, rates of change and differentials, increasing and decreasing functions, basic properties of log and exp, introduction to integration.

Summer Term

11 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 2 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 4 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week.

Spring Term
