<Consult the Mathematics department for details.> This sequence is intended for majors in the life and social sciences. Inequalities, absolute value, graphs of simple functions, the derivative, maxima and minima, rates of change and differentials, increasing and decreasing functions, basic properties of log and exp, introduction to integration.
