Catalog Course Description

Stoichiometry of chemical reactions, quantum mechanical description of atoms, the elements and periodic table, chemical bonding, real and ideal gases, thermochemistry, introduction to thermodynamics and equilibrium, acid-base and solubility equilibria, introduction to oxidation-reduction reactions, introduction to chemical kinetics.

Spring Term

3 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 1 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week.

Summer Term

2 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 9 hours of Outside Work Hours per week and 6 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week.

Fall Term

3 hours of Instructor presentation of course materials per week and 1 hours of The exchange of opinions or questions on course material per week and 5 hours of Outside Work Hours per week.
