History C182A will be offered online. Lectures will be available asynchronously via recordings, which will be posted on the day scheduled and will be available for the following 3 days only, so enrollment with time conflicts is allowed. However, the class will meet synchronously over Zoom for the first class meeting on Tuesday, May 26, and for each Thursday class meeting—5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, 6/25 and 7/2. Thursday sessions will be seminar-like, using break-out rooms for group discussions and activities, and provide time for questions or concerns relevant to the entire class. Students will be required to participate in at least four of the seven synchronous meetings.

Instructor bio: Dr. Libell has a background in History of Science and Ideas, specializing in European history of medicine and science. Her research interests include 18th and 19th century psychiatry, scientific concepts and classification.
