Hours & Workload

4 hours of instructor presentation of course materials per week, and 8 hours of outside work hours per week.

This course examinines contemporary approaches to the study of television, investigating televison's social, political, commercial, and cultural dimensions. Readings and assignments require students to apply critical perspectives to television programming and to the analysis of individual television texts.

Class Notes

- All seats will be saved for declared Media Studies students only. Other interested (including intended MS) students may place themselves on the waitlist.
- Declared Media Studies students will be prioritized for enrollment into this class.
- Freshmen are not permitted to enroll in this course.
