Advanced topics chosen by the instructor. The content of this course changes, as in the case of seminars.
Class Description
We introduce the tools of intersection theory and use them to solve concrete enumerative problems. Topics will include Chow rings, Grassmannians, Chern classes, Schubert calculus, and degeneracy formulas. We will follow the textbook "3264 and All That" by Eisenbud and Harris.
