Course Catalog Description

The course will focus on reading and understanding mathematical proofs. It will emphasize precise thinking and the presentation of mathematical results, both orally and in written form. The course is intended for students who are considering majoring in mathematics but wish additional training.

Students who are insufficiently engaged in the course will be dropped. The policy will be implemented several times in the first 4 weeks of classes until the drop deadline. Insufficient engagement will include not submitting sufficiently many HW assignments and/or not taking sufficient many quizzes, not meeting academic performance level on HWs and/or quizzes, and other parts of course.
