We employ an interdisciplinary approach that includes history, political science, sociology, literature and film studies to analyze how memories of war are preserved, interpreted, and contested. We also explore the role of memorials, museums, education, civil society organizations, and various forms of media in shaping public perceptions of past conflicts and possibilities for healing and reconciliation.
