Class Description
This is the course description that I came up with: "Has a song ever made you feel like it was speaking directly to you in a narrative way? This course invites you to dive deep into the world of music and explore how the depth, tone, rhythm, and lyrics of a song can inspire your own storytelling. Along the way, we’ll study the works of renowned poets and famous lyricists—like Stevie Nicks, Kendrick Lamar, and Taylor Swift—to understand the art of poetry, creative writing, and narrative structure. Through discussions and writing exercises, you’ll channel your creativity to create original pieces inspired by your favorite songs. By the end of the course, you’ll compose a short story that’ll be a piece worthy of its own Grammy! No rhythm required—just your imagination, a love for words, and maybe a Spotify playlist on repeat. Whether you're a writer, a music lover, or both, this course will help you unlock and refine your creative potential.
