Class Description

“Moonshots,” is a course to help students personally excited about entrepreneurship establish a community of builders while introducing them to the ins and outs of building a startup in Silicon Valley. Through a combination of seminar-style, interactive case studies, workshops, and high-profile guest speakers from the worlds of tech, entrepreneurship, and venture capital, students will gain practical insights into the startup ecosystem and apply those insights to current and future entrepreneurial endeavors. The course will examine the entire lifecycle of a startup, from ideation to scaling, with a focus on real-world applications and networking opportunities. Students will explore various aspects of entrepreneurship, including idea validation, product development, fundraising, and growth strategies. The ideal student for this course is one who either: ● Has a working startup concept they are seeking to build throughout the semester and beyond with peers ● Or is interested in learning more about the steps to develop a potential business venture to determine if entrepreneurship is a good fit for them Whether or not the student pursues the concept beyond this course, they will leave with a deeper understanding of the startup ecosystem and a firsthand connection to the pivotal decisions that shape early-stage companies, gained through working on their ventures and engaging in class discussions Application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeZaddkO1ViXeRrUVBm9CCHP5r1mccqIclzIyIgr--tjHUAjA/viewform
