Course Catalog Description

Instruction set architecture, microcoding, pipelining (simple and complex). Memory hierarchies and virtual memory. Processor parallelism: VLIW, vectors, multithreading. Multiprocessors.

* Time conflicts allowed BUT students are required to attend in-class midterms.

* Lecture WILL be recorded for playback later.

* One alternate final exam will be offered - date/time to be determined later.
