Supervised research on a specific topic.
Class Description
Using the Intellectual tradition and Black Feminist Epistemology, Students will critically analyze texts, media and film surrounding Black Life and culture. This course is designed to dissect the role of storytelling in Black Literature (Children's books, poetry, novels) and media (Instagram. film, and TV show). How have the messages put out by widely consumed and circulated media sources enabled the persistence of racism and misinformation that upholds white Supremacy?
