Group study of selected topics.

Class Description

This course offers a hands-on, immersive introduction to the world of venture capital—equipping students with the tools, frameworks, and insider knowledge to evaluate startups, decode investor strategy, and explore careers in VC. Whether you're a founder (current or future) seeking to understand how VCs think, an aspiring investor, or simply curious about how unicorns are built and backed, this DeCal is for you.
Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
● Explain the structure and function of venture capital within the startup ecosystem.
● Identify and evaluate high-potential startups using common VC frameworks.
● Understand funding instruments, term sheets, and valuation methods.
● Analyze real-world startup cases and create investment memos.
● Network effectively and prepare for interviews in venture capital.
