1 to 4 hours of instructor presentation of course materials per week, and 2 to 8 hours of outside work hours per week.

Course Catalog Description

Directed group study on various topics in design innovation.

Class Description

In this class, students will be introduced to the history, art, and practices of photography in the modern world. Students will learn how to manually operate a digital SLR camera, how to use lighting in conjunction with posing to create compositions, and how to post-process RAW photos. Different disciplines will also be taught and include portraiture, landscape, architecture, product, studio, and more. Over the semester, students will learn critiques of photos and develop a more artistic eye for photos.

Innovative Design's Photography Principles DeCal (DES INV 98/198) is a 2-unit decal for beginners to photography camera. There are 2 sections of the class, both of which will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.

Due to high demand, we unfortunately cannot take all applicants. The application is due by Monday, September 8th, 11:59PM! We do not accept late submissions.
