Course Catalog Description
Introduction to forces, kinetics, equilibria, fluids, waves, and heat. This course presents concepts and methodologies for understanding physical phenomena, and is particularly useful preparation for upper division study in biology and architecture.
Class Description
Forces, rotary motion, static equilibrium, fluids, oscillations, and thermodynamics. Except for exams, this class is fully asynchronous. Students must avoid time conflicts with the 2 midterms and final exam.
Hands-on labs will be performed at home. You need to purchase a lab kit from the Cal Student Store. Class starts June 3rd. The first lab will be due on June 11.
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of calculus is required.
