Course Catalog Description
Study of special topics that are not covered in depth in regular courses in the department.
Class Description
We will be providing a historical overview of: El Salvador’s tensions between various political parties, the hidden story of “Las Catorce Familias” (The Fourteen Families), and their contributions to the formation of the civil war. We will also be exploring the effects of U.S. intervention on El Salvador’s natural resources, resulting in an influx of migration across the globe and a forced state of reconstruction in various aspects.
