This course covers current topics of interest in civil and environmental engineering. The course content may vary from semester to semester depending upon the instructor
Class Description
This course offers students the opportunity to explore the relationships between engineering and social justice through critical personal reflection and historical and contemporary case studies that converge topics of infrastructure, sustainable development, and contemporary applications of engineering design. The course seeks to help students develop an understanding of why and how engineering has been aligned and divergent from social justice issues and causes, and strategies for incorporating critical social justice into engineering planning, design and implementation.
