Class Description

This course is intended to teach students how to fully utilize all the powerful capabilities of 3D printers and additive manufacturing techniques. We will briefly cover CAD and software associated with 3D printing processes. Hands-on exploration of hardware and software will be our primary focus, in addition to lectures. Our course will cover the basics of 3D printing, the engineering complexities of how 3D printing can be done at an advanced level, how to build and modify 3D printers and provide an introduction to more niche fields of additive manufacturing. We are open to all majors and backgrounds and have structured the class so that beginners and experts can get helpful information.
