This course is designed to meet the needs of prospective international graduate student instructors and focuses on English language pronunciation and other language skills, teaching effectiveness in the U.S. classroom, and cross-cultural issues. These concerns are addressed through reading, discussion, group work, and recorded oral presentations. The course includes one hour of small group or individualized instruction per week. The course is required for all prospective GSIs who do not meet minimum requirements on the Oral Proficiency Test.
