Course Catalog Description
Special topics in African American literature.
Class Description
This course examines the regional and worldwide movements to bring down South African Apartheid. It will focus on the contributions of African Americans to influence U.S. policy toward South Africa, to bring about restrictive U.S. "Sanctions," which led to the release of Nelson Mandela and to democratic elections there in 1994.
