Class Description
IMPORTANT:
This is a preparatory program for incoming Astrophysics, Physics, and Earth and Planetary Science (EPS) transfer students to develop and bolster the technical skills needed to take on upper division physics, astrophysics, EPS & STEM-related courses at Berkeley, as well as to build a strong sense of community. Students will be introduced to campus resources, learn about opportunities in research, industry, and academia, and become acquainted with student life at Berkeley. Physics and Astrophysics students enrolled in this program must also concurrently enroll in Physics 77 or Physics 89 during the same summer session. Physics 89 is particularly of benefit to prospective geophysics, atmospheric science, and planetary science majors.
Students must complete an application for the Pre-Core Transfer Summer Program by June 1st, and then advisors will enroll them in the course in June. More information about the program and the link to the application can be found here: https://physics.berkeley.edu/academics/undergraduate-degree/transfer-students/berkeley-pre-core-transfer-summer-program#:~:text=The%20Berkeley%20Pre%2DCore%20Transfer,EPS)%20majors%20at%20UC%20Berkeley
